Jim Turney is an Associate with the Corporate Transactions and Finance Practice Group of Best Best & Krieger LLP. His focus is on corporate, finance, tax and real estate practice.
Mr. Turney practiced with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an intern in the Division of Corporations & Finance and established a general practice in Los Angeles before joining Best Best & Krieger LLP. Earlier, in his business career, he performed financial management and strategic planning functions with Ford Motor Company and Eastman Kodak. Mr. Turney has also served as a corporate director, a private business consultant and a government consultant when he was a financial economist with Arthur B. Laffer & Associates. He has taught undergraduate and MBA courses in the USC School of Business.
Mr. Turney earned his law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He also received a BS from the University of Minnesota, an MBA from the University of Detroit and a Ph.D in financial economics from the University of Southern California.
